The Good Meal - Research Through Design

Project Goal

The goal of the project was to design a way for people to create a mindset that might connect them to their local food environment. This was done in partnership with CMU’s Imaginaries Lab and Dan Lockton to explore different pathways out of the climate crisis. The final exhibit allowed us to share our results and show our process by cooking a meal for the exhibition.

Learning Outcomes 

With two other researchers, we completed three different research studies and found that bringing people on a “quest” through a farmers market, a local farm, and then having them cook together was a useful tool to enact a change in mindset. Read the whole article on ResearchGate.
